Hey, big news everyone! Nikon has an upgrade to the D70 plus a new entry-level D-SLR! Surprised? Well, if you follow the digicam world, probably not, as these two cameras are some of the worst kept secrets of all time. Anyhow, the D70s is the updated version to the D70 -- no 8 Megapixel sensor, sorry folks. Here's what's new though:

6.1 Megapixel CCD produces images at 3008 x 2000
Can take up to 144 shots in a row at 3 frames/sec (at the Large/Normal setting)
Instant power-up
Improved 5-point AF system
RAW (NEF), RAW+JPEG support
Larger LCD display (2.0" versus 1.8"
Shutter speed range of 30 - 1/8000 sec
Capable of 1/500 sec flash sync speed
New flash has a wider working range
New remote shutter release port
Refined user interface
Uses new EN-EL3a battery (no word yet on number of shots per charge)
PictBridge-enabled
Ships in May; Priced at $899 for the body only or $1199 for the body plus an F3.5-4.5 18 - 70 mm lens
